Molten glass is mouth-blown into carved molds, and then hot liquid silver is poured inside. This process was resurrected in Spokane, Washington by Tim and Beth Merck who have been enchanted by rich European Christmas traditions all their lives. In old England, beloved pets would often be represented in a smaller version of themselves upon a Christmas tree.
