Our Quilled Peony card shows the pink state flower of Indiana with a small blue bird perched in its branches. This species is one of the most widespread across the world, found in the United States, middle east, and China. Quilling is the art of rolling or shaping small strips of paper into unique images meant to mimic the curling of a bird's feathers, hence the name "quilling". This papery art dates back to the time of ancient Egypt and has been passed down through generations.
