Mother Moose Enterprises was started by husband and wife duo Peggy and Larry Kupper. They lived in Jackson Hole, where it was easy to fall in love with the outdoors and all the wildlife there. Armed with that inspiration, they started making cute little wildlife ornaments and trinkets for the local craft fair. They were a hit! So much of a hit in fact, that the Kuppers could barely keep up. In 1994, they moved their company to Missoula, Montana, and expanded their wildlife offerings for people who love cute animals just as much as they do. While the manufacturing is now outsourced, all of the design still comes from the Kuppers' team in Missoula.
