Western Horse Ornament by Old World Christmas
The crafting of Glass Ornaments is a practice steeped in tradition and holiday spirit. At Merck Family's Old World Christmas, they are keeping that tradition alive and well. The 3¼” x 3½” Western Horse is one of their Glass Ornaments which are created following the traditions of 19th century glassblowers.
Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds, and then hot liquid silver is poured inside. This process was resurrected in Spokane, Washington by Tim and Beth Merck who have been enchanted by the rich European Christmas traditions all their lives.
The horse is a noble animal that represents courage, grace and speed. Whether ridden in a competition, rodeo, on the ranch or trail, cowboys and cowgirls have always appreciated the value of a good horse. These Glass Ornaments are true holiday gems that will add style and brightness to your collection of Christmas Tree Ornaments.
