5 best breweries and distilleries in Bozeman Montana

Bozeman has no shortage of breweries to quench your thirst. In fact, Montana ranks 2nd in the United States in number of breweries per capita - the state has 83 active breweries as of January 2019, according to the Montana Brewers Association

Over half of the malted grain used for brewing in Montana is actually grown in Montana!

Bozeman has seen some historic growth in breweries and distilleries the last ten years or so, providing visitors and residents ample opportunities to enjoy some of the best beverages anywhere. While all of Bozeman's drink spots have their strengths, here are five of our favorites for you to explore.

Bozeman Brewing Company

Bozeman Brewing Company

Bozone founders Todd and Lisa met when they were both working in Yellowstone National Park in 1986. Together they journeyed to the Tahoe where, in an attempt to live off the land, Todd began home brewing, eventually working as a brew master in the Napa Valley while attending School at UC Davis. Yearning for the good life back in Montana, Todd and Lisa moved to Bozeman where he worked as the head brewer for Spanish Peaks for 10 years. Todd and Lisa opened Bozeman Brewing in 2001, and the rest is beer-making history in the making.
