Join us for Bozeman’s most beloved holiday tradition and come kick off the holiday season in Downtown Bozeman!

This year's Christmas Stroll will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

Get ready for a jolly good time at the 2025 Downtown Bozeman Christmas Stroll! Join us for some fantastic fun, delicious eats, and loads of laughter. Bring the whole family and snap a pic with Santa Claus, soak in the magic of downtown decorations, or even join in on the fun-filled gingerbread house contest. Enjoy singing Christmas carols, having tasty treats from non-profit food vendors, and of course, have a chance to cross off some items from your holiday shopping list!

Step Into an Old-Fashioned Christmas: Lewis & Clark Motel

Since 1976, the Lewis & Clark Motel has been spreading holiday cheer in Bozeman! Step inside their lobby and be amazed by over 1,300 nutcrackers on display. Whether you visit before, during, or after the Christmas Stroll, it’s the perfect spot to soak in some old-fashioned holiday magic.

Annual Gingerbread House Contest Display

Saturday, December 6th | 2:30–7:30 PM

Head to the American Legion (225 E Main, Second Floor) to see the most creative gingerbread houses Bozeman has to offer! Winners will receive ribbons and prize packages including Downtown Dollars, Sweet Pea Festival Day passes, and more.

Downtown Bozeman comes alive for the 45th Annual Christmas Stroll! Here’s what’s happening:

Music & Performances (4–7 PM)

  • S Willson & Main Intersection: Local school choirs bring the holiday cheer:

    • 4:30 PM – Gallatin High School Jazz Choir

    • 4:50 PM – Monforton Middle School Choir

    • 5:10 PM – Emily Dickinson Elementary Choir

    • 5:30 PM – SMS Select Choir

    • 5:50 PM – Monforton Elementary Chorus

    • 6:10 PM – Longfellow Elementary Choir

    • 6:30 PM – Morning Star Elementary Choir

    • 6:50 PM – Bozeman High School Jazz Choir

  • Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides (4–7 PM)
    • Climb aboard a classic horse-drawn wagon along N Rouse (between Main & Mendenhall).

    • $4 Stroll Button required for ages 1+

  • Christmas Stroll Parade (4:30 PM)
    • Join Matt Kraska and Santa as they light the Downtown Bozeman Christmas Spiders.

    • Sing along with the Chief Joseph Middle School Choir.

    • Parade vehicle provided by Bridger Bowl and decorated by Ace Handyman Services, escorted by Montana Youth Challenge Academy cadets.

  • Food & Festivities (4:30–7:30 PM)
    • Downtown streets feature food vendors, all giving back to local nonprofits. Grab a bite and feel good about it!

    • Holiday-inspired activities hosted by sponsors and nonprofits, including crafts, caroling, and cozy fire pits.

    • Local businesses offer live music, treats, and perfect holiday gift ideas.

  • Santa Pictures (5–7:30 PM)
    • Baxter Hotel (105 W Main St) – $4 Stroll Button required for ages 1+

    • Enjoy traditional holiday songs by the Bridger Mountain Harmony Chorus.

    • Sample cookies, fill out holiday cards at Ted’s Montana Grill, and grab festive drinks from Bacchus Pub or Ted’s patio bar featuring Willie’s Distillery.
