Summer Events in Downtown Bozeman You Don't Want to Miss

There’s just something about summertime in Bozeman. The days feel a little longer, downtown stays busy well into the evening, and every weekend seems to bring another reason to get outside and enjoy the season. Whether you’re a longtime local or spending your first summer here, Bozeman has a lineup of events that people look forward to year after year.

If you’re filling your summer calendar, these are a few events you definitely won’t want to miss:

Music on Main

Thursdays | July 2 – August 6, 2026
Downtown Bozeman | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Music on Main is one of those summer traditions that feels like the heart of Bozeman. Every Thursday evening, Main Street closes down and fills with live music, food trucks, kids dancing in the street, and people catching up with friends after work.

The concerts are free, and it’s hard not to have a good time. You’ll see families with lawn chairs, visitors exploring downtown for the first time, and locals who never seem to miss a week. Grab dinner from a food vendor, wander through downtown, and stay for the music once the sun starts to dip behind the mountains.

Monthly Art Walks

Second Fridays Throughout the Summer
Downtown Bozeman | Typically 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Summer Art Walks are one of our favorite ways to experience downtown Bozeman. Local galleries and businesses stay open late, featuring artwork from talented regional artists while creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout downtown. We love strolling from shop to shop, discovering new artists, listening to live music, and enjoying the slower pace of a summer evening.

If you’re downtown for the Art Walk, be sure to stop by Montana Gift Corral. We love participating in this community event and showcasing Montana-made gifts, artwork, handmade products, and locally crafted goods from artists and makers across the state!

Summer Crazy Days

July 17 – July 19, 2026
Downtown Bozeman

Summer Crazy Days is one of the busiest and most fun shopping weekends of the season downtown. Local businesses bring merchandise outdoors, offer special discounts, and create a lively sidewalk sale throughout Main Street. We always look forward to the energy downtown during Crazy Days. Restaurants are full, sidewalks are packed, and there’s a real sense of community throughout the weekend.

Montana Gift Corral always participates in Crazy Days each summer, and we love welcoming both locals and visitors into the store to shop for Montana-made gifts, local products, and some amazing specials during the event!

Sweet Pea Festival

August 7 – 9, 2026
Lindley Park

The Sweet Pea Festival is one of Bozeman’s most iconic summer traditions, and every year it feels like the whole community comes together for the weekend.

Held in Lindley Park, the festival features live music, performances, art vendors, local food, children’s activities, and entertainment for all ages. We especially love the creative energy that fills the park throughout the weekend. Whether you spend the whole day there or just stop by for an evening concert, Sweet Pea always feels like the heart of summer in Bozeman.

Lindley Park Farmers Markets

Tuesday Evenings Throughout the Summer
Lindley Park

The Lindley Park Farmers Market is one of our favorite ways to spend a summer evening in Bozeman. The market is filled with fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, handmade items, local art, and food vendors from around the region.

What we love most is the atmosphere. Families gather in the park, friends catch up over snacks, kids run through the grass, and live music fills the background while everyone shops and explores. It’s one of those events that perfectly captures the feeling of summer in Montana!

Cruisin’ on Main Car Show

Sunday, August 16, 2026
Downtown Bozeman | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Even if you’re not a huge “car person,” Cruisin’ on Main is surprisingly fun to walk through. Main Street fills with classic cars, restored trucks, custom builds, and motorcycles that people have spent years working on.

There’s a mix of shiny vintage cars, muscle cars, and unique finds you probably won’t see anywhere else. The owners are usually happy to chat about their vehicles, which gives the whole event a friendly small-town feel. It’s one of those events where you end up staying longer than you planned because there’s always one more car you want to check out!
