The Giacaman family, based in Bethlehem, owns and operates the largest olive wood factory in all of Jerusalem. Through their partnership with Earthwood, a USA-based company, this family is able to share their handcrafted grottos, nativities, and ornaments with the world. To create their art, this family carefully prunes the branches of olive trees, never actually digging them out. By doing so, they are preserving this rare species of tree that is native to the holy land!
