There’s something really special about the work that comes out of Waterhorse Bronze. It all starts with Elaine Hansard, a Bozeman artist who taught herself how to sculpt, just by following her love for Montana’s landscapes and wildlife. Every piece begins in her hands, shaped slowly in clay or wax, with so much care in the little details. From there, it goes through the lost-wax casting process (an art that’s been around for thousands of years) and is transformed into solid bronze. No two ever turn out exactly the same, which makes each one feel a little more personal. They’re not just beautiful pieces; they’re the kind of things you keep, pass down, and hold onto.
