Susan Lordi has been the master crafter behind the treasured line of Willow Tree figurines since 2000. In addition to her sculpting, she is also a celebrated textile artist, educator, designer, and writer. Based out of Kansas City, she takes much of her inspiration from the plains, prairies, and vast open space surrounding her home. Her goal in creating Willow Tree figurines and ornaments was to showcase intimate moments that resonate with all people. The figurines are faceless as to draw more attention to their body language while also allowing the viewer to fill in the meaning with their own experiences.
