What is 406 Day?

What is 406 Day?

It’s April 6th and you have absolutely no idea why your Montana friends are partying right now. Is it someone’s birthday? A historic event? Religious holiday? Nope! Montanans are celebrating today because April 6th can be written as 4-06, or 406. Which means that as far as Montanan’s are concerned, it's the perfect date to celebrate Montana Day! But why 406? And how exactly are Montanans celebrating this day?

Whether you are in town to explore the outdoor playground that surrounds the city limits, or are wanting to experience its exceptional night life, Bozeman has something for anyone.
A few of our Montana Gift Corral employees have been mentioning that there have been some unexplained disturbances and missing products that are completely unaccounted for.

Montana Gift Corral's Unexpected Visitor

A few of our Montana Gift Corral employees have been mentioning that there have been some unexplained disturbances and missing products that are completely unaccounted for.  Concerned that we were dealing with some overnight theft, we decided that it would be best to install a camera in our stores, and you will not believe that we saw. Lo and behold Bigfoot has been rummaging through our stores, picking up all of his favorite items! Who knew!?

Remembering the 2009 Downtown Bozeman Explosion

Remembering the 2009 Downtown Bozeman Explosion

On March 5, 2009, as many people left their homes in the morning for work, a natural gas line blew up and destroyed four downtown businesses and called for an emergency evacuation of two city blocks. Fires in the gas lines and rubble burned for over 24 hours after.

Our flagship store in Bozeman happened to be on that very block. When news reached us, we feared the worst. I remember walking up to Montana State University that day, headed to my first class of the morning, and being struck by the plume of smoke above the downtown area. Once I heard the news, I wondered and worried about our employees and our storefront on that day.
